His simplistic progressive/conservative analysis in MORAL POLITICS is the kind of thing that my friends and I used to jaw about when I was 20. It is rather sophomoric, especially so since he does not consider individualist metaphors, WHICH DO NOT INVOLVE THE FAMILY. I've never been quite able to read every word of that book for the simple reason is that the author comes off as rather witless.
